In 1984 my father advised me to watch a movie that has just premiered on VHS, rented in Córdoba Corrientes and Paraguay, where you could still drive around the block, where it is today or Triangle Color Ateneo do not remember well. I was 12 years old and my father less criterion that a rolling pin when recommending movies to your preteen.
The film was called The Day After "and was about a possible third world war, this time disputed between Russia and U.S., where both countries are nuclear cuetazos RECAGE to almost everybody died. And the story unfolded, as it touts its title, the day after the explosions, and the film's director was responsible for successful show with tact and the few who remained alive looked desperate, while they liked the hair and began to have nausea, dizziness and lung problems, to their families not only find it anywhere but, besides, were broken up, scattered and mixed with dust from everything else that nuclear bombs had dust pun intended.

The movie was kind of cop, was not much, must have been something like 2012 today, with the technology of the early 80's and without great performances, but there was a scene I branding, which distressed me to the utmost, that opened my eyes forever, and I immediately sank into severe depression from which I took out at least a year:
sixties Lord, knowing that it is the imminent nuclear blast, up the stairs of his house for his wife, also in his sixties, who is making the beds. He takes her arm and said it is time to take shelter in the basement, but she insists on making the bed. He tightened his arm stronger. She pulls off and very nervous, insists on making the bed. He takes the shoulders and says, perplexed that there is no time, but she possessed, insists on continuing his work as a housewife, so her husband slaps and forces down to the basement . And she hugs him crying and she ignores him and fall to protect themselves. That scene
annihilated me. I did shit. For the first time in my life I realized what the world was born. For the first time in my life I realized how vulnerable he was. No matter what I did with my life just ripped off, never would absolute control over it. It was that day I realized that my father was Superman and could not prevent a damn, and before seeing this movie I thought. He was alone. Only in a sick world.
things I began to ask my father, hopeful of finding encouraging responses emanating from the mouth of that being that I gave birth and until that point in my life was listening carefully for me. But my father had no answers to my questions, and for the first time I saw him waver, wander and look to the side, abruptly cutting off my questions with a relentless, " can not do anything ." And the feeling of insecurity gripped my body and hugged me for not get out for several months.
So after long talks with my father for not getting answers that make me feel whole, I transformed my desperation to reverse the global nuclear dilemma extreme apathy to the issue. Not how I do it, perhaps the only fact of being unable to fix anything that I have raised enough to keep me somewhere in my very black and marula and not go see him every time. Because, as you pointed out my father, " can not do anything ."
And time passed and when I could say I was going and going beyond what's Chernobyl (1986) and turned to shock me, but this time it had a more suitable age to face these things ( 14 ) and took it a little better (...)

From 1945 until today, U.S. , Russia, France , England , China, India , Pakistan and Israel have been steadily stocked weapons of mass destruction in a hangar super padded and full of extreme security, high security that is swiped in a heartbeat for a earthquake , a violent shaking of ground caused by the clash of tectonic plates that make up the planet and we have no way nor ever will, to warn when , how , how big and where will be the next quake.
in the world today there are over 20,776 nuclear warheads, according to a sum that I googling, though some sites say half of that figure. What is the exact figure? Only knows earthquake.
add to this is nuclear power plants scattered around the world who are composed 442 reactors spread over 29 countries.
is very unpleasant to listen to Japanese Prime Minister to give succinct information on the breakage of nuclear gizmos candid look pedantic.

is amazing to see the Japanese emperor speaking to the country asking quiet. Why Japan is the Emperor? Are not people smart? Do not make nuclear reactors, ships, automobiles, high-end appliances? Is it not time that an emperor 2011 is he packing pears in a position in the market? What people have done Japanese when asked by the emperor quiet? Did he calm? Where protected the Emperor of the tsunami and the earthquake? Will there lost their belongings? Why did your face just after the accident TEPCO nuclear apocalyptic ? Why Japan has emperor?

is outrageous to see on youtube an interview a reporter for Russia Today a scientist where the man claims that in both 1975 , 1977 1981 and repeatedly told the sponges were not install nuclear reactors on their land, since they were chosen by more severe earthquakes and tsunamis to be embedded in the intersections of three plates. Intelligence Is it compatible with outright stupidity? "The arrogance and ego off the intelligence at that point? "The Japanese are an intelligent race?
is unacceptable to listen to the Chileans, in the midst of the nuclear disaster in Japan and very little coming from a strong jolt that blew out the country, warning poker-faced they are to build a few nuclear reactors in his trembling country.
A nuclear accident leaves the disaster area contaminated by 100,000 years. A good example of what this season without inhabiting that area is contaminated include the pyramids of Egypt, who have between 5000 and 6000 years, being this very little compared to the other.
The Chernobyl accident was 500 times larger than the Hiroshima bomb.
died in Chernobyl, immediately, 31 people, and now that number rose steadily to more than 200,000 dead, more than 93,000 are on the way to death from cancers that suffered after the accident. But some say the death toll will be over half a million people.

interpreted the problem as I should have to be a country with the ability to mount a nuclear reactor ( or intelligent, in theory ) and had to convince them to close the plant. Ukraine agreed to do so only if the world gave him a hand with the power supply. That's right, after the accident, the Ukrainian government did not have the immediate plant closure , had to intervene in the G7 and the EU promised economic aid.
The Ukrainian government decided to evacuate the 60,000 inhabitants of Pripyat in 3 days, slowly, to avoid panic and, especially, not to show the world that had a serious problem. Many died for this decision.
In these videos you can watch youtube victims of Chernobyl, I recommend that you do, though is very strong, and we should not go through life making the assholes:
Today
not known with certainty how many people died, or how many people were injured, or how many were born malformed. It's all a mystery. A mystery like that of Japan, who does not speak clearly, not telling the truth about what is going on, and hide, to not panic and for the world to not be alarmed, the truth forever.

I have 38 years. 26 years ago that I am aware that the world is sick. And the world was ill since long before I noticed. And still not see, nor do I think I'll see a single act of thoughtfulness on the part of any of the leaders of the superpowers who run this planet. One.
Do you know why?
Because you can not do anything.
